Weekend Magazine Continues...

Welcome back to the Weekend Magazine Edition of "The Yank." It's already 2007 here in New Zealand, so a Happy New Year goes out to all!

Let's get right back into it, shall we? Next up, a segment we'll call "Blogging Around" which will feature blogs and blog entries from some of our favorite blogs.

First, our good friend, Lisa at the Urban Grind has a story about Emperor Misha of the Anti-Idiotarian Rottweiler being criticized by some pansy at Vanity Fair magazine. I mean, really, what self-respecting man would write for, as one commenter put it, a "Kotex wrapper" like Vanity Fair, and, furthermore, regardless of what was written, would you take it seriously? The Emperor doesn't take any shit from Lefties and gives it right back with brilliant non-chalant invective. After you read Urban Grind's take and link over to the Emperor, be sure to read the comments and have a good chuckle. One commenter even provides a picture of the VF pansy who wrote the piece; can you say soft, pudgy milquetoast?

Speaking of the Anti-Idiotarian Rottweiler, check-out the Emperor's review of all the Saddam eulogizing taking place in the MSM. I expected nothing less from the media.

And yet another of my favorite reads, Maggies Farm, has compiled their "Stella Awards" for the most ludicrous lawsuits of 2006. Here's one of the ties for 5th place:
5th Place (tie): Kathleen Robertson of Austin, Texas was awarded $80,000 by a jury of her peers after breaking her ankle tripping over a toddler who was running inside a furniture store The owners of the store were understandably surprised at the verdict, considering the misbehaving little toddler was Ms. Robertson's son.
Message to fans of frivolous lawsuits: I do not take kindly to such bullshit. If you are ever in a position where you think you may want to sue me, consider the following, and govern yourself accordingly: Dead men tell no tales.
