Thought you might find these photo's very interesting, what quality from 1941.

Pearl Harbor

On Sunday, December 7th, 1941 the Japanese launched a surprise attack against the U.S. Forces stationed at Pearl Harbor , Hawaii . By planning his attack on a Sunday, the Japanese commander Admiral Nagumo, hoped to catch the entire fleet in port. As luck would have it, the Aircraft Carriers and one of the Battleships were not in port. (The USS Enterprise was returning from Wake Island, where it had just delivered some aircraft. The USS Lexington was ferrying aircraft to Midway, and the USS Saratoga and USS Colorado were undergoing repairs in the United States.)

In spite of the latest intelligence reports about the missing aircraft carriers (his most important targets), Admiral Nagumo decided to continue the attack with his force of six carriers and 423 aircraft. At a range of 230 miles north of Oahu, he launched the first wave of a two-wave attack. Beginning at 0600 hours his first wave consisted of 183 fighters and torpedo bombers which struck at the fleet in Pearl Harbor and the airfields in Hickam, Kaneohe and Ewa. The second strike, launched at 0715 hours, consisted of 167 aircraft, which again struck at the same targets.

At 0753 hours the first wave consisting of 40 Nakajima B5N2 "Kate" torpedo bombers, 51 Aichi D3A1 "Val" dive bombers, 50 high altitude bombers and 43 Zeros struck airfields and Pearl Harbor Within the next hour, the second wave arrived and continued the attack. When it was over, the U.S. losses were:

USA : 218 KIA, 364 WIA.
USN: 2,008 KIA, 710 WIA.
USMC: 109 KIA, 69 WIA.
Civilians: 68 KIA, 35 WIA.
TOTAL: 2,403 KIA, 1,178 WIA.

They Walk Among Us

A woman called me on the phone and said; "I'm going to fax you the
report what is your fax number?"
I gave her the number and then she said; " Would you fax it back to me
when you are done it's my only copy."

They walk among us.

Some guy bought a new fridge for his house. To get rid of his old
fridge, he put it in his front yard and hung a sign on it saying: "Free
to good home. You want it, you take it."
For three days the fridge sat there without even one person looking
twice at it. He eventually decided that people were too untrusting of
this deal. It looked to good to be true, so he changed the sign to read:
"Fridge for sale $50."
The next day someone stole it.

Caution... They Walk Among Us

While looking at a house, my brother asked the real estate agent which
direction was north because, he explained, he didn't want the sun waking
him up every morning. She asked, "Does the sun rise in the North?"
When my brother explained that the sun rises in the East, and has for
sometime, she shook her head and said, "Oh, I don't keep up with that

They Walk Among Us!

I used to work in technical support for a 24/7 call center. One day I
got a call from an individual who asked what hours the call center was
open. I told him, "The number you dialed is open 24 hours a day, 7 days
a week." He responded, "Is that Eastern or Pacific time?"
Wanting to end the call quickly, I said, "Uh, Pacific."

They Walk Among Us!

My colleague and I were eating our lunch in our cafeteria, when we
overheard one of the administrative assistants talking about the sunburn
she got on her weekend drive to the shore. She drove down in a
convertible, but "didn't think she'd get sunburned because the car was

My sister has a lifesaving tool in her car it's designed to cut through
a seat belt if she gets trapped.
She keeps it in the trunk...

My friends and I were on a beer run and noticed that the cases were
discounted 10%. Since it was a big party, we bought 2 cases.
The cashier multiplied 2 times 10% and gave us a 20% discount....

They Walk Among Us!

I was hanging out with a friend when we saw a woman with a nose ring
attached to an earring by a chain. My friend said, "Wouldn't the chain
rip out every time she turned her head?"
I explained that a person's nose and ear remain the same distance
apart no matter which way the head is turned...

They Walk Among Us!

I couldn't find my luggage at the airport baggage area. So I went to
the lost luggage office and told the woman there that my bags never
showed up. She smiled and told me not to worry because she was a trained
professional and I was in good hands. "Now," she asked me, "has your
plane arrived yet?".....

They Walk Among Us!

While working at a pizza parlor I observed a man ordering a small pizza
to go. He appeared to be alone and the cook asked him if he would like
it cut into 4 pieces or 6.
He thought about it for some time before responding.
"Just cut it into 4 pieces; I don't think I'm hungry enough to eat 6

Yep, They Walk Among Us, too.

An Immodest Proposal - Part I

One way to stop the left in its quest for a socialist, nanny-state Utopia of complete state control is to prevent those on public, tax payer-funded welfare from voting. That's right: Those who are dependent on the hard work of others in order to sustain their very existence should have absolutely no say in how society is governed.

There is no rational reason why those who live on hand-outs from the public should be allowed to, in effect, vote themselves a raise. It's really quite simple if you think about it. Liberal parties traditionally are the ones promoting state welfare dependency policies, always promising to do more for the oppressed, down-trodden, disenfranchised - whatever. Those people vote generally for the candidates promising them more gifts from the tax payers. For the last 40 odd years the liberals have been promising and promising, making good on just enough of those promises to get themselves re-elected but not actually doing anything about solving the problem. To do so would mean that they are out of a job, and the narcissistic, egocentric mind of the liberal activist needs a cause to remain relevant. Indeed, it is the liberals' worst nightmare to imagine a world in which they are no longer relevant, so it is in the best interest of leftist ideology to perpetuate an underclass with a cause - real, manufactured, or merely perceived - that the liberals can champion. Removing the privilege of self-government from those who are the recipients of public charity will, over time, help to render liberals and leftism irrelevant and powerless, and may actually create incentive for the shiftless and lazy to get off their ass and become contributing members of society by getting a job and actually being responsible for their own lives.

This is one part of a three-pronged approach to irradicating Marxist ideology and liberalism from society once and for all. The other two parts involve exposing them and removing their influence on mass media and the education system, which will be addressed in future installments.

Vilmar's Corner

Is it just me who has turned his heart cold to stories like this or what?

Read about this woman who USED to have a $35-40,000 a year job (back in 1996!!!) and quit (even though she already had several kids and had a history of their fathers’ leaving her and them.) Now she has SIX kids from THREE fathers!!! She violated her divorce decree and took the kids out of state. Her ex-husband sued, got the kids---and got her to pay child support!!!!!

Read about where she lives now. How instead of doing normal grocery shopping she does it at a convenience store.

Read about how she whines how awful it is to have a minimum wage job yet spends $70 a MONTH in water bills; how she has FOUR DOGS!!!! How they use their electric stove to heat the bathroom because she does not like to go into a cold bathroom.

What would these people have done back in the early 20th century? Died? Of course not. They’d have adapted.

She might qualify for subsidized housing but.....are you ready for this? She doesn’t feel like filling out the paperwork!!!

In life, wherever we are it is the sum total of every decision we ever made. She made bad decision after bad decision. Now the taxpayers are footing her bills.

This is all bullshit and it pisses me off to read how the paper writes this expecting us to feel sorry for her. I do not.

Especially after I got to the last sentence: "They say this country is so rich," Kelly said, "but why are so many people living paycheck to paycheck, just one week from being in the street?"

Hmmmmm, maybe because you are fucking stupid and irresponsible?!?!?!?!

Sorry, two in one day. Here’s another story where we are made to feel sorry for someone who pulls a boneheaded act.

Granted, you may be attached to your pet and even willing to give up your life for it. That’s your business.

But this guy has burns over 80% of his body for trying to save a dog that was not even his. And a firefighter calls what he did “courageous?” And called him a hero?

I call him a moron! I find it hard to imagine ANY instance where an animal is worth sacrificing a human life for.

Then again, it IS San Francisco !

You gotta love it when a foreign president calls Al Gore insane.

That’s what the Czech Republic president did when questioned about global warming.

Not only did he refute the current thinking he basically bitch slapped the reporter repeatedly in his replies.

As for those who continue to parrot the mantra or refuse to disagree with it? Other top-level politicians do not express their global warming doubts because a whip of political correctness strangles their voice.”

This guy should run for president in the US !

Here’s the whole thing in case Drudge takes it down:

In an interview with "Hospodárské noviny", a Czech economics daily, Klaus answered a few questions:

Q: IPCC has released its report and you say that the global warming is a false myth. How did you get this idea, Mr President?

A: It's not my idea. Global warming is a false myth and every serious person and scientist says so. It is not fair to refer to the U.N. panel. IPCC is not a scientific institution: it's a political body, a sort of non-government organization of green flavor. It's neither a forum of neutral scientists nor a balanced group of scientists. These people are politicized scientists who arrive there with a one-sided opinion and a one-sided assignment. Also, it's an undignified slapstick that people don't wait for the full report in May 2007 but instead respond, in such a serious way, to the summary for policymakers where all the "but's" are scratched, removed, and replaced by oversimplified theses. This is clearly such an incredible failure of so many people, from journalists to politicians. If the European Commission is instantly going to buy such a trick, we have another very good reason to think that the countries themselves, not the Commission, should be deciding about similar issues.

Q: How do you explain that there is no other comparably senior statesman in Europe who would advocate this viewpoint? No one else has such strong opinions...

A: My opinions about this issue simply are strong. Other top-level politicians do not express their global warming doubts because a whip of political correctness strangles their voice.

Q: But you're not a climate scientist. Do you have a sufficient knowledge and enough information?

A: Environmentalism as a metaphysical ideology and as a worldview has absolutely nothing to do with natural sciences or with the climate. Sadly, it has nothing to do with social sciences either. Still, it is becoming fashionable and this fact scares me. The second part of the sentence should be: we also have lots of reports, studies, and books of climatologists whose conclusions are diametrally opposite. Indeed, I never measure the thickness of ice in Antarctica . I really don't know how to do it and don't plan to learn it. However, as a scientifically oriented person, I know how to read science reports about these questions, for example about ice in Antarctica . I don't have to be a climate scientist myself to read them. And inside the papers I have read, the conclusions we may see in the media simply don't appear. But let me promise you something: this topic troubles me which is why I started to write an article about it last Christmas. The article expanded and became a book. In a couple of months, it will be published. One chapter out of seven will organize my opinions about the climate change. Environmentalism and green ideology is something very different from climate science. Various findings and screams of scientists are abused by this ideology.

Q: How do you explain that conservative media are skeptical while the left-wing media view the global warming as a done deal?

A: It is not quite exactly divided to the left-wingers and right-wingers. Nevertheless it's obvious that environmentalism is a new incarnation of modern leftism.

Q: If you look at all these things, even if you were right ...

A: ...I am right...

Q: Isn't there enough empirical evidence and facts we can see with our eyes that imply that Man is demolishing the planet and himself?

A: It's such a nonsense that I have probably not heard a bigger nonsense yet.

Q: Don't you believe that we're ruining our planet?

A: I will pretend that I haven't heard you. Perhaps only Mr Al Gore may be saying something along these lines: a sane person can't. I don't see any ruining of the planet, I have never seen it, and I don't think that a reasonable and serious person could say such a thing. Look: you represent the economic media so I expect a certain economical erudition from you. My book will answer these questions. For example, we know that there exists a huge correlation between the care we give to the environment on one side and the wealth and technological prowess on the other side. It's clear that the poorer the society is, the more brutally it behaves with respect to Nature, and vice versa. It's also true that there exist social systems that are damaging Nature - by eliminating private ownership and similar things - much more than the freer societies. These tendencies become important in the long run. They unambiguously imply that today, on February 8th, 2007, Nature is protected uncomparably more than on February 8th ten years ago or fifty years ago or one hundred years ago. That's why I ask: how can you pronounce the sentence you said? Perhaps if you're unconscious? Or did you mean it as a provocation only? And maybe I am just too naive and I allowed you to provoke me to give you all these answers, am I not? It is more likely that you actually believe what you say.

More on “climate change” here:

He challenges why we are falling for the hype when 90% of “scientists” say something is true when it could very well be that the 10 percenters are right:

"The small print explains “very likely” as meaning that the experts who made the judgment felt 90% sure about it. Older readers may recall a press conference at Harwell in 1958 when Sir John Cockcroft, Britain ’s top nuclear physicist, said he was 90% certain that his lads had achieved controlled nuclear fusion. It turned out that he was wrong. More positively, a 10% uncertainty in any theory is a wide open breach for any latterday Galileo or Einstein to storm through with a better idea. That is how science really works.

Religion of Peace? No. Religion of peace and quiet? No way.

This ought to get your blood pressure up: muslims are getting called to prayer via a loudspeaker system in this neighborhood. Residents are pissed off.

The raghead response? ““If there’s anything we can do to ease tension in the community, we are willing to do that at any cost – provided it does not compromise our religion,” said Ahmed.

In other words, FUCK YOU!

Those residents need to get smart and invent a religion that requires adoration of pigs and have prayer 15 times a day using the squeals of pigs as the call to the faithful.

The Brits are doomed. Especially since they are doing nothing to shut down schools that preach that Jews are monkeys and Christians are pigs.

Who funds the school? The Saudis. Somehow Democrats have no problem forcing us to buy oil from the Saudis because they won’t let us drill in our own country. And when this shit happens in the US who will the liberals blame?

Very disturbing. A brain scan that can read someone’s intentions?

Be afraid. Be very afraid. Thought control is coming. It may not be 1984.....yet. But 2084 is right around the corner.

Will Obama make it past the primaries? He just might. Especially with his wife playing the race card so early.

You watch, soon we will not be able to criticize neither him nor Hillary. To do so would be considered “racist/sexist.”

This Could Be A Lot Worse...

...if it weren't for global warming.

Fuck me, it's cold!!!
Dave Chase, left, and Ken Capstraw clear snow from a roof in Parish, N.Y., Saturday, Feb. 10, 2007. Sunshine greeted residents of this snowbound village on Saturday, giving crews a chance to haul away some of the 8 feet of snow that has fallen during the past week. (AP Photo/David Duprey)

You'd think that maybe eight is enough? Nah, there's more on the way.
A warning in effect until Monday morning said 2 to 4 more feet of snow was possible with wind gusting up to 24 mph.
Global warming...ya' know, it might not be such a bad thing...imagine if it was a cold winter...

Leftist Asshat of the Week: Sean Penn

What is it with the lefty Holloywood crowd? They are prone to romantic delusions and are ususally just plain stupid or ignorant or both. So I had to laugh when actor Sean Penn spoke at a rally in support of Lieutenant Ehren Watada who is being court martialed at Ft. Lewis, WA, for refusing orders to go to Iraq. And what pearls of wisdom came out of Sean Penn's mouth? He said the lieutenant "took an oath to uphold international law." Sorry, Sean, but that is not correct. Watada took an oath to "protect and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic." That is the oath I took, and I'm sure it's still the same. Now, Penn should know better. If he doesn't, then he's a complete idiot. If he does, then he is lying on behalf of the leftist-driven anti-Iraq war agenda. And so is the lieutenant.

This guy knew exactly what oath he was taking when he took it, and he can't claim "conscientious objector" status after he voluntarily joins the military. One doesn't join the military on one's own terms, either. A lot of rights guranteed to civilians are not available to military personnel. It requires sacrifice and a giving of oneself to something greater. One of the things one gives away is determining where one wants to be deployed. The lieutenant knew that, too. Now, if he is really true in his convictions that the war in Iraq is illegal, immoral, violates international law - then he should plead guilty and take his 4 years at Leavenworth like a good little civil disobedientarian. But he is making a statement, and that is his intent. He, along with others in the countless list of leftist aparachiks, is attempting to transform the issue from one of conduct to one of speech and civil rights. They think that military matters should be handled like civil matters, and that this ruse of a concept known as "international law" should trump US law. Their views are heard because of useful idiots like the Holloywood lefties and their fellow operators in the music and other arts industries, and, unfortunately, a lot of their brain-dead fans take the words of these pretenders as the truth. This is the new cause celebre for the lefties (as you scroll this page pay attention to all the "Watada Watch" posts, especially all the links at the bottom.) Now that a mistrial has been declared, this will blow over, and they'll be back on the global warming bandwagon.

So what's it all about, Alfie? It's about repeating the mantra of (in this case) "international law" until enough unknowing people pick-up the chant (right out of the Goebels playbook: Repeat the lie often enough and it becomes the truth.) It's about undermining the institutions of a nation to destroy it from within. It's about a one-world, socialist utopia whose grace and beauty flows from the UN.

In Case You Were Wondering

I'm still around, but obviously I haven't been posting. Part of the reason is that we have been quite busy, and the other is that both Mae and I are now contributing to an Aussie blog called It's a Matter of Opinion. The owners are great folks who share similar values to ours, and we were honored that they would ask us to become part of their team. Please visit over there for some great discussion and debate as well as some moonbat troll fisking. I will probably be doing more of my political stuff there and doing more local news and fun stuff like videos and music here.

Please visit here and here for my two posts done so far, and check-out Mae's first post (she's writing under the nom de plum, "Apathy or freedom," which some of you may remember from the old days commenting at BMEWS.)

One thing I'm embarking on is research into the politics and economics of the global warming/climate change mania sweeping the globe, and I'll post it both here and at our new home away from home. Stay tuned.

Vilmars Corner

Really not that newsworthy but consider this a PSA if you are ever swimming in the Amazon: don’t pee in the water!!!

Here’s the video:

Like kinky sex? Into domination? Maybe a little S&M? You can do it....legally...in Australia ! Just become a psychologist.

Sorry, I can’t see what the difficulty is here and why it should cost $3,000,000 to close off some tunnels from Mexico to the US .

I’ll do it for free. They just have to give me some time-delay detonators and a couple hundred pounds of C-4. Problem fixed. If the walls collapse and homes cave-in, tough shit.

The Brits continue to suck camel-fornicators’ asses. This time they are re-orienting all the toilets AWAY from mecca. I’d make it a point to them orient ALL the other toilets in that direction and issue laxatives to all the prisoners telling them that not only were the toilets oriented towards mecca but that they should consider it their civic duty to sit on the toilets and send squishy “telegrams” to “Mo’ Ham, Ed!”

Amazing that Brits seek a policy of reconciliation with these savages even after they are getting caught attempting to kidnap British people and wanting to hack their heads off.

Sorry, but based on what I have seen taking place in England , maybe they deserve it.

These goat-fornicators are a bunch of frikkin’ perverts. Not even 4 year old girls are safe.

The links are here:

Islam and the molestation of little girls

Ayatollah Khomeini and a 4 year old girl.

Just being SUSPECTED of being lovers is enough to get your asses whacked by the religion of pissers.

If this does not piss you off, you are probably dead.....or a Muslim sympathizer.

Debbie Schlussel, having been threatened by a muslim over 3 years ago and having fought the FBI to prosecute these guys, finally gets a little satisfaction. But like she says, when the shoe is on the other foot (a non-muslim threatening a muslim, jail is almost immediate.)

Hat tips Vilmar, thanks once again and keep them coming.
