Late Model Mustang Fans

Allow me to set the scenario: Shown below is in-car video from a late-model (21st century) Ford Mustang no newer than 2002. Anyway, the footage captures on-track action from what is known as a "track day," where a car or motorcycle club rents a racetrack to go out and have some fast fun in a controlled environment. It's not a race, as the vehicles and drivers vary greatly in ability. This particular track is Thunderhil Raceway in Willows, CA, between Sacramento and Redding, and by all accounts it's a great track that my mate, Todd, and I never got around to racing at before I left the US.

The driver is quite good - he knows the track and has the lines nailed down. If I remember correctly, the car has very limited engine modifications: performance exhaust, intake, and a few other standard bolt-ons - no internal engine mods. The rear end has been re-fitted with 4.10:1 gears which means that he's hitting about 120-125 mph (~200kph) on the front straight where he's red-lining 4th gear (assuming ~6000 rpm, 4th gear is 1:1, and a 26" tall rear tire). Suspension-wise, I believe, the car has been pretty-well sorted with all the standard "good stuff" including a rollcage and non-slick performance/racing tires for the event. The driver mentioned that in the near future he would be fitting a Watts Link differential which allows the car to maintain a more constant roll center during cornering. The video and audio quality is very good, and I know you petrol heads and car lovers will really enjoy this.

Drag Racing: Car vs....Snowmobile?

Yep, you read it right. A heads-up drag race between a Pontiac Firebird and a snowmobile on a legitimate quarter-mile, paved drag strip.

I've got tons of racing stuff - car vs. car, bike vs. bike, car vs. bike, show-offs, cars and bikes at track days on road courses - lots of stuff. Let me know if this interests you and if you would like to see more of it. Sometimes doing this kind of thing is more fun than bashing muzzies and libs, which is fun, but sometimes tiresome.

Some Things That F**k Me Off

I have been in a pissed off mood for the past 24 hours, which really is, NOT a good look.

Why? Initially an incident which caused me to want to punch a snotty nosed 19 year old male in the mouth, this was not acheived due to outside intervention. Intervention came because everyone knew if matters got out of hand, Joe would have handed out free lessons on respect unsolicited. Personally, knowing how angry I was, I believe (being taught how to fight by 3 brothers a lot more fierce than this new-age metro-sexual twat) he would have had to have been scraped off the pavement after I finished with him anyway.

Then while sitting around home fuming I decided to hit the computer. A mere reference to "Mad Bob" Mugabe whom leftists behold as one of the great and wonderous "freedom fighters" (my arse), inspired me to vent (in other words rant a little with a "who gives a rats arse?" attitude).

So what topic to tackle in an outburst first?

US Bashing Downunder
I experience this often due to Joe being an American, and it affects me greatly and VERY personally.

Kiwis purport to be very open, accepting, a lot of whom jump on the band wagon for any perceived liberal notion. "You and me hug a tree, let's do it in peace and harmony" is the mantra of all the space cowboys/moonbats/morons disguised as humans (which we have lots of). This ideal has as much chance of suceeding as a "Land Rights For Gay Whales" campaign. Yet, when it comes to America and Americans, the response to an American (or as Kiwis and Aussies say, a "Yank") is solely based upon either the war in Iraq or past perceived USA policies/Presidents they don't agree with. How rich. Why don't all the leftist fuckwits apply the same rules when it comes to someone like "Mad Bob". If we apply their logic, by default, "Mad Bob's" great humanitarian acts being used as the gauge, we would be expected to also hate all peoples from Zimbawe.

I am sick to death of telling people that the US Government/President is not the American person; each American is someone just like you and me. Some are good, some are bad. Judge a person for who he or she is, his or her actions, not by his or her country and certainly not from half informed BS you garner from less than balanced media sources you read or watch. I won't leave out the obligatory response: "What about the war and/or Bush?"

Tell me, WTF has either got to do with an individual who happens to be from the US who legally lives here by choice, working, paying taxes, raising and loving his/her family? Furthermore, I ask, how does the Iraq War affect the average Kiwi? There are no NZ troops there in combat roles, so what's the problem? It has more to do with hating the US than actually caring about what happens to Iraqis, considering the deafening silence regarding atrocities commited by Saddam - may Allah have piss upon him.

How about this for an answer. Stop being sheeple. Grow up, get a life, get an education, get your heads out of the past and your arse; and finally, just accept and appreciate the fact that the USA (and not China or the old USSR) is the Gorilla in control of the Big Stick globally. USA protection ensures we are able to live in our idealized countries without threat from being absorbed by an unfriendly nation which hates us, everything that we have but they want, our lifestyles, our freedom. Living under the umbrella of US alliance during the Cold War shielded little countries like NZ from the USSR and China who might have otherwise sought to make our fertile land a food colony. I'm confident that now and in the future the US (and Australia) would be the first ones here to help us if, God forbid, we ever face any catastrophe, natural or otherwise. I don't think the moonbats would be complaining about that aspect of US foreign policy.

Next
"Feminism" in Islamic Countries.

Yep, feminism is thriving in Islamic nations. You know the ones that say "Mo' ham, Ed" is great, and scream "aloha snack bar" as they are slicing someone's head off with a dull butter knife. How could the islamic feminism movement not be successful when muslims live and die by the Quran holy lessons? Couple of fine examples from the Quran:
"Men have authority over women because Allah has made the one superior to the other and because men spend their wealth to maintain women. Good women are obedient. They guard their unseen parts because Allah has guarded them. As for those women from whom you fear disobedience, admonish them and send them to beds apart and beat them. They if they obey you take no further action against them. Allah is high, supreme." Holy Quran. Sura 4:34
In the teachings of the Quran adulterous women should be flogged while women found guilty of fornication should be put under house arrest until death or until "Allah ordains for them another way."
Wait till you see the positive male support. A taste:
DIE IN HELL AND STOP THIS WEBSITE OR YOU WILL BE REPORTED AND ACTION WILL BE TAKEN AGAINST YOU THATS A PROMISE.

You motherfucker Take this bullshit off your web-site about Islam. you don't know shit and that bitch mariyam is a stupid motherfucking Christian Slag like all christian girls in Pakistan thay love Surcumzied 15 inch paki dicks stop saying she's a Muslim

-- Ackbar, PAKISTAN
This adequately portrays the expected outcome of a Muslim feminist movement...
"Honey, don't lose your head"...

The feminism movement can always rely on support from followers of Ayatollah Khomeini:
Islamic Teachings on sex with infants:
"A man can have sexual pleasure from a child as young as a baby. However, he should not penetrate. If he penetrates and the child is harmed then he should be responsible for her subsistence all her life. This girl, however would not count as one of his four permanent wives. The man will not be eligible to marry the girl's sister."
On sex with Animals:
"The meat of horses, mules, or donkeys is not recommended. It is strictly forbidden if the animal was sodomized while alive by a man. In that case, the animal must be taken outside the city and sold."

The complete Persian text of this saying can be found in "Ayatollah Khomeini in Tahrirolvasyleh, Fourth Edition, Darol Elm, Qom"
And I wonder why I am pissed off.

This Just Warms My Heart...I Almost Feel Giddy

It really bugs me that I can't smoke on airplanes anymore. Yeah, I understand second-hand smoke is intrusive on others in confined spaces with recirculated closed air systems, but it still bugs me. However, they still allow children on airplanes. I know some of you are saying, "But, Joe, smoking is offensive." Yeah, well, so are children. Screaming, crying, out of control kids on airplanes are offensive to me. It hurts my ears, causing possible hearing damage, and I'm sure there's a threat to my mental health as well. If smoking is banned, then so should be children.

So when I heard about an airline chucking a 3 year old bottom feeder and her parents off a flight, I felt a vicarious sense of vengeance wrought on my behalf.
ORLANDO, Fla. - AirTran Airways on Tuesday defended its decision to remove a Massachusetts couple from a flight after their crying 3-year-old daughter refused to take her seat before takeoff.

AirTran officials said they followed Federal Aviation Administration rules that children age 2 and above must have their own seat and be wearing a seat belt upon takeoff.

"The flight was already delayed 15 minutes and in fairness to the other 112 passengers on the plane, the crew made an operational decision to remove the family," AirTran spokeswoman Judy Graham-Weaver said.
Fuckin' A, good on 'em!
Julie and Gerry Kulesza, who were headed home to Boston on Jan. 14 from Fort Myers, said they just needed a little more time to calm their daughter, Elly.

"We weren't given an opportunity to hold her, console her or anything," Julie Kulesza said in a telephone interview Tuesday.
I can hear a real sense of whining in that quote. I heard another report that stated the little angel's ears were still pressurized from the connecting flight from Ft. Myers. Yeah, so, and this is my problem how? They're from Boston, so there is a better chance than not that they're liberals.
The Kuleszas said they told a flight attendant they had paid for their daughter's seat, but asked whether she could sit in her mother's lap. The request was denied.

She was removed because "she was climbing under the seat and hitting the parents and wouldn't get in her seat" during boarding, Graham-Weaver said.
Now I'm almost positive they're fucking liberals. I'll bet they were saying, "Now, dear, we need to take a time out..." What the little urchin needed was to have her ass jerked off the floor, strapped into her seat, and gagged.
The Orlando-based carrier reimbursed the family $595.80, the cost of the three tickets, and the Kuleszas flew home the next day.

They also were offered three roundtrip tickets anywhere the airline flies, Graham-Weaver said.

The father said his family would never fly AirTran again.
Gotta be fucking liberals. Take no responsibility; blame somebody else; think that everybody else needs to indulge their own little dilemas, in this case, accommodate a little spawn of Satan throwing a petulant frenzy because her parents can't or won't discipline the little harpie.

I have nothing against children; just children who can't behave when they're in public and parents who won't do anything about it. And these parents who let their kids run amok wherever they are - airliners, restaurants, etc. - like the world is their playground - they need the shit slapped out of them (the parents, that is).

So there. If I can't smoke, kids should be comatosed for the duration of the flight or not allowed on airlplanes. It's all about public health.

This was actually a topic for discussion on talk radio here in New Zealand today, but hat-tip to Todd B for sending me the link.

December 7, 2008 - Part 2

This is Part 2 of 3. If you missed Part 1, scroll down a bit, or just click here. Sorry I didn't post this yesterday as I had intended.

December 7th, 2008
by Raymond S. Kraft

Kim Jong Il gloated. The deception had worked. The Americans were thinking in terms of long range intercontinental ballistic missiles with huge warheads that they could shoot out of the sky with their sophisticated billion-dollar anti-missile defense systems. He was thinking in terms of small warheads carried by small, medium range cruise missiles that could be launched from many places, and infiltrated close enough to slip in under the radar and hit America 's coastal cities.

On the evening of December 6, 2008 , a junior analyst in the National Security Agency was going over routine satellite photo production of ship movements in the Atlantic and Pacific within a thousand miles of the US coasts. Late in the shift he thought he saw something through a haze of fatigue and caffeine, and called a supervisor over to talk.

"Look," he said, photos up on several computer screens, more printed out and spread across his desk. "See? These boats - not big ships - fishing boats, yachts...they've been moving in along shipping lanes for several days, across from the South Pacific toward the West coast, up from the South Atlantic toward the east. Nothing very unusual. They're all small and slow, scattered up and down the oceans, it seems, but if you look at the times and courses..." He pulled out a chart he had plotted. "They're approaching so they will all arrive at about the same time, or all be about the same distance off the coast at about the same time..." he trailed off.

The supervisor looked a bit quizzical, asking, "Coincidence? Probably. You need more sleep. Too much fun in the night, eh? Let me know if you see something we can do something with," and walked away.

At 0723 Hawaii time on the 67th Anniversary of the Pearl Harbor attack three old fishing trawlers, about 100 miles apart, and each about 300 miles off the east coast, launched six small cruise missiles from launch tubes that could be dismantled and stored in the holds under ice, or fish, and set up in less than an hour. The missiles were launched at precisely one minute intervals. As soon as each boat had launched its pair, the skeleton crew began to abandon ship into a fast rubber inflatable. The captain was last off, and just before going overboard started the timer on the scuttling charges. Fifteen minutes later and ten miles away, each crew was going up the nets into a small freighter or tanker of Moroccan or Liberian registry, where each man was issued new identification as ship's crew. The rubber inflatables were shot and sunk, and just about then charges in the bilges of each of the three trawlers blew the hulls out, and they sank with no one on board and no distress signals in less than two minutes.

The missiles had been built in a joint operation by North Korea and Iran, and tested in Iran, so they would not have to over fly any other country. The small nuclear warheads had only been tested deep underground. The GPS guidance and detonating systems had worked perfectly, after a few corrections. They flew fifty feet above sea level, 500 feet above ground level on the last leg of the trip, using computers and terrain data modified from open market technology and flight directors, autopilots, adapted from commercial aviation units sold by Iran's trading partners in France and Germany. They would adjust speed to arrive on target at specific times and altitudes, and detonate upon reaching the programmed GPS coordinates. They were not as adaptable and intelligent as American cruise missiles, but they did not need to be. Not for this mission.

They were small, less than twenty feet long, and only 18 inches in diameter, powered by small, quiet, fuel-efficient, high-bypass turbofans, and painted in a mottled light blue and light gray ghost camouflage. Cruising at 450 knots, well below the speed of sound, they were nearly impossible to see or hear. They came in under the radar until they reached the coast. After that they were lost in the ground clutter.

Nobody saw it coming.

At precisely 0753, Hawaii time, 1353 in the District of Columbia, sixty-seven years to the minute after the Pearl Harbor attack began, the first of six missiles to hit the Washington area exploded in a huge white burst of nuclear fire just 500 feet above the White House, which disappeared in a mist of powdered plaster and stone, concrete and steel. President Bush and President-Elect Clinton had been meeting with Condoleezza Rice and Mrs. Clinton's national security adviser, reviewing the latest National Security Estimate, when they instantaneously turned into plasma of the atomic elements that had once been human beings. No trace remained.

Alarms immediately began going off all over Washington, and precisely one minute later the second missile exploded just as it struck the Capitol dome, instantly turning thousands of tons of granite that had one moment before been the nation's center of government into thousands of tons of granite shrapnel that shredded several square miles of Washington like a leviathan Claymore mine. At precisely one minute intervals, four more 3 kiloton nuclear weapons exploded at an altitude of 500 feet AGL above the Pentagon, the CIA headquarters, the NSA headquarters, the FBI headquarters, all of which were fully staffed in the middle of the day. In five minutes, the government of the United States of America was decapitated, and a quarter million of the people who made the place run were dead, or dying, or had simply disappeared.

Also at 1353 Eastern time, a missile had blown off just above the New York Stock Exchange, in New York City, and thousands of years of collective financial knowledge and experience evaporated in the nuclear flame. In one minute intervals, others had hit the financial centers of Boston and Baltimore, and the U.S. Naval base at Norfolk, Virginia.

Simultaneously, within the same 10-minute window of hell, nuclear tipped cruise missiles devastated the largest inter model shipping facility on the West coast at San Pedro harbor, exploded just above the Library Tower in central Los Angeles, and short circuited the computer technology ghetto of Silicon Valley in Santa Clara County, big time. One exploded ten feet away from the top of the Bank of America Building in San Francisco and set much of the east slope of the city ablaze. Another giant fireball flared among the phalanx of office towers along the Capitol Mall in Sacramento, instantly obliterating Arnold Schwarzenegger and the state government of California, the largest state economy in the US, the seventh largest economy in the world. Two ripped open the heart of Portland, Oregon; one shattered the financial district of Seattle; and the last one turned the Microsoft campus into a pillar of fire and smoke, wiping from the face of history, in a second, the IT giant that had revolutionized global communications.

It was 0803, Hawaii time. Ten minutes. Three million Americans dead. And not a trace of the assault fleet remained on the surface of any ocean.

Vice-President Elect Gavin Newsom was in his bedroom at home in Pacific Heights, his window overlooking the Golden Gate and the Marin bluffs. He thought he heard an oddly loud crack of thunder and saw a flash reflected on the hills across the inlet, but it was a clear day and nothing else seemed out of place. He continued packing for the return trip to Washington, his second since the election, to continue his transition briefings and begin organizing his staff. His nomination as Hillary's running mate had come as a huge surprise, and he was elated.

Someone rapped on the door, loudly, twice, and without waiting for a reply the senior Secret Service officer on his detail opened it and stepped quickly in. "Come with me, now," he said.

Gavin was startled. "I need to finish packing," he replied.

"No time, sir. Something has happened. Very big, I fear. No details yet. We have to get you out of here NOW! RIGHT NOW! GO! GO! GO!" He grabbed Newsom's arm, swung him around, and pushed him out the door, where two other Secret Service agents flanked him down the stairs and out to a running black Suburban waiting in the garage. They pushed him into the back seat, jumped in, and the driver gunned the engine, out the drive, down the street, tires squealing...
...To be continued. Please stop by tomorrow for the finale.

Riddle Me This...

Once President Bush is out of office, on whom will the lefties/liberals focus their hate?

Patrick and Bozwell have a post that has stirred a bit of a flame war. Read the comments and you'll find all the liberal cliches and mantras, all of which can be distilled down to "I hate Bush."

UPDATE: Is it just me, or does this piece of human flotsam look like the kind of meely-mouthed, smarmy smart-ass who needs to be punched...hard...repeatedly?

Who's With Me?

Maybe you have or have not noticed that I don't use a capital "M" in the word "muslim" or a capital "I" in the word "islam," and that is deliberate; absolutely, positively, without question, 100% intentional. I simply do not acknowledge those words as deserving of a capital letter. Those words represent the most vile, disgusting, barbaric belief system of the last 1,000 years, and I will give those words no more respect or reverence than I would the newspaper that lines our cat's litter box.

So, for any of you who share similar feelings, can we get a movement going here - nobody capitalize muslim/moslem and islam or any variations or related words? This is a lame attempt at near-mid-life activism by a former United States Marine, but it's also a cheeky way to show contempt for the followers of "mo' ham, Ed."

Who's with me?

I Can't Say It Any Better

So what are the achievements of the war in Iraq? First, a dangerous and threatening Middle-East dictator has been destroyed and, in the result, Iraq reduced to a battlefield for Islamic civil war. Second, a message has been sent to Islam that the West will use force against it.

Force is the only message that Islam understands. The West will never be able to live peacefully, side-by-side with Muslims. The West must use force decisively so that Western civilization is protected. This may mean that craven states like Spain and France will be protected, although in the case of France, with its estimated 8 million Muslims, it is possible that the battle is already lost.

Australia must stand with America at all cost. We cannot defend ourselves against Islam in general and 300 million Muslim Indonesians in particular. We must remember that we benefit from living under the US umbrella – it is the US taxpayer who pays for our defence and it is young American men and women who fight and die so that we may live safely. The war in Iraq is a victory for the West.
Go read the whole thing, including the comments.

There are a lot of good people in Australia standing tall with America, and we must applaud them, thank them, and be grateful for their support, always mindful of the fact that Australians have fought - and died - side by side with Americans in every major conflict since WWI, including the current one against global muslim fascism.

"December 7, 2008" - Weekend Fiction

The following is a short story sent to me by reader BobF. It's rather long for a blog post, so I'll present it in three parts.

December 7th, 2008
by Raymond S. Kraft

December 7, 2008, began inauspiciously. At 0753 at Pearl Harbor in Hawaii, the attack that had triggered America's entry into World War II, sixty-seven years before, was ceremoniously commemorated, an honor guard, taps, a 21-gun salute, the bugle's notes and the rifles' crack drifting across the bay to the USS Arizona memorial, where Admiral Arthur Peterson, USN (Ret.), laid a wreath in memory of the sailors sleeping below, one of whom was his own grandfather.

On the West coast it was 1053, and in Washington D.C. it was one fifty-three in the afternoon, 1353 military time. In 2006 America, tired of War in Iraq, had elected Democrats to modest majorities in both houses of Congress. Representative Nancy Pelosi became Speaker of the House, third in line for the presidency. In the spring of 2007, on a narrow, party-line vote, Congress, led by Senators John Kerry and Ted Kennedy and Barbara Boxer refused to authorize spending to continue the war in Iraq and set September 30, 2007, as the deadline for complete withdrawal of American troops.

President Bush spoke to the country, to the American forces in Iraq, to those who had been there, and to the Iraqi people, to apologize for the short-sightedness and irresponsibility of the American congress and the tragedy he believed would follow after leaving task of nurturing a representative and stable government in Iraq half done, his voice choked, tears running down his stoic face, a betrayal of emotion for which he was resoundingly criticized and denounced in much of America's liberal media.

The level of violence across Iraq immediately subsided, as the Americans began preparations to redeploy back to the States. Mahmoud Ahmadinejad praised the new Congress for its clear vision and sound judgment. America's Democrats rejoiced and congratulated themselves for bringing peace with honor and ending the illegal war based on lies that George Bush had begun only to enrich his friends in the military-industrial complex and the oil business, and promised to retake the Presidency in 2008.

"The failure of many Americans, including many of the leading Democrats in Congress, and some Republicans, to fully appreciate the persistent, long-term threat posed to America's liberties and survival, and to the future of Liberal Democracies everywhere, by an Islamic Resistance Movement that envisions a world dominated and defined by an Islamic Caliphate of religious totalitarianism, and which will fight any war, make any sacrifice, suffer any hardship, and pay any price to achieve it, may prove to be the kind of blunder upon which the fate of America turns, and falls."

At 1000 on September 30, 2007, precisely on schedule, the last C-5A Galaxy carrying the last company of American combat troops in Iraq had roared down the Baghdad runway and lifted into the air. Only a few hundred American technical and military advisers and political liaisons remained in-country. The Galaxy's wheels had scarcely retracted when Iraq erupted in the real civil war many had feared and foreseen, and which many others had predicted would not happen if only the American imperialists left Iraq. Sunni militias, Shia militias, and Al Qaeda militias ravaged and savaged the country, killing hundreds of thousands of Iraqis known or suspected to have collaborated with the Americans, killing Shias for being Shias, Sunnis for being Sunnis, Americans for being Americans, and anyone else who happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. Iran offered to step in an protect Shias in the South of Iraq and the division of Iraq began without so much as a blink from the international community who were still gloating at Bush's defeat.

By noon, not one of the American advisers and liaisons left behind remained alive. Many had been beheaded as they screamed. Most of their bodies were dumped in the river and never seen again. In the next thirty days more than a million Iraqis died. The General Assembly of the United Nations voted to condemn the violence, and recessed for lunch and martinis. In America, there was no political will to redeploy back to Iraq. And after a few months of rabid bloodletting, the situation in Iraq calmed to a tense simmer of sporadic violence and political jockeying, punctuated by the occasional assassination, while several million refugees fled the country. Only Kurdistan, in the north, which had thrown up a line of its Peshmurga fighters to keep the southern violence away, remained stable and at relative peace.

In the spring of 2008 America began its quadrennial circus of a national election, and in November elected a Democrat, the Junior Senator from New York, Hillary Rodham Clinton, as it next president, to the surprise of few. Her running mate, to the surprise of many, was San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsom, whose intelligence, charisma, and reputation as an indefatigable campaigner for gay marriage and the homeless of San Francisco helped solidify Clinton's support among liberal Democrats who only grudgingly forgave her for not openly opposing the Iraq war sooner, and the Clinton-Newsom ticket went to the top with a narrow 50.2% lead over Republican John McCain's 49.8% of the popular vote, despite, or perhaps because of, Clinton's and Newsom's lack of foreign policy and military experience.
America, or a slim voting majority of it, felt it had had all the war it ever wanted to see, and Hillary had led her party to a glorious (if narrow) victory with the unambiguous slogan: "Clinton & Newsom: No More War." Crowds at every whistle stop had cheered and chanted, No more war! No more war! No more war! At victory parties George Bush, Dick Cheney, Karl Rove, Donald Rumsfeld and Condoleezza Rice were hung and sometimes burned in effigy, enthusiastic crowds chanted "No more war!" many times more, and local bands cranked up the theme from the first Clinton electoral victory, "Don't stop thinking about tomorrow . . . yesterday’s gone, yesterday's gone . . .," and indeed, it was.

President Bush had been a very lame duck since the 2006 election and with a Democratic Congress could do little but veto most of the bills it sent him. The Democrats couldn't override his vetoes, so for nearly two years almost nothing important had been accomplished by anyone on the Hill or in the White House. After the 2008 election it was transition time, flocks and herds of thoroughly demoralized Republican staff began leaving Washington in search of greener pastures, Congress adjourned for the Holidays, Democrats came house hunting, and Clinton and Newsom began the briefings they would get from a fully cooperative Bush administration on the state of the nation and the state of the world they would inherit and have to cope with for the next four years, or eight, and in those last weeks of November both Hillary and Gavin seemed to age rather quickly. The exhilaration of the campaign was over, and the weight of a tumultuous world began to settle on their shoulders.

Back in early October, 2006, North Korean President (for life) Kim Jong Il had announced the detonation of a nuclear bomb deep in a tunnel in the stony mountains of North Korea. The seismic signature had been small, and American intelligence at first doubted whether it had been a nuclear explosion at all. Traces of radioactive emissions were detected a few days later, and the intelligence estimate revised to conclude that it had been a failed test that produced perhaps only 10% or less of the expected yield, only 0.5 to 1.5 kilotons, not the 20 kilotons, at least, that Western intelligence had anticipated.

Kim Jong Il gloated. The deception had worked...

Mae Has Her Say: Che Was A Pussy

I started this rant of mine sometime back, but as you can see it takes me a tad to post. Michelle Malkin did a story about Target pulling Che Guevara merchandise from their shelves just as I had drafted my pop thoughts into some sort of coherent writing. Needless to say, my sail was deflated severely. However, I have finally decided to finish the piece.

Everyone knows I despise "Mad Bob" Mugabe, though few are aware of my second pet peeve, the so-called "revolutionary hero," Che Guevara.

Over the years I have become less and less tolerant (if you call saying, "Get that shit off!" tolerant) of the uninformed masses' deification of Che Guevara. I can't help my dismay as I shake my head and ask, "What do they see?"
The most popular version of Che t-shirt, for instance, sports the slogan "Fight Oppression" under his famous face. This is the face of a man who co-founded a regime that jailed more of it's subjects than Hitler or Stalin's and declared that "individualism must disappear!" In 1959, with the help of Soviet GRU agents, the man celebrated on that t-shirt helped found, train and indoctrinate Cuba's secret police. "Always interrogate your prisoners at night," Che ordered his goons. "A man's resistance is always lower at night." Today the world's largest Che mural adorns Cuba's Ministry of the Interior, the headquarters for Cuba's KGB and STASI trained secret police. Nothing could be more fitting.

Yet somehow, this same image is considered the height of hipness on everything from shirts, watches and snowboards, to thong underwear and an undisclosed location on Angelina Jolie's epidermis. Ms Jolie, by the way, recently won the UN's "Global Humanitarian Award" for her work with refugees.
Irony is great and inspirational it seems.
The noted historian Benicio Del Toro, who will star as his hero in a Hollywood Biopic due next year, says: "Che was just one of those guys who walked the walk and talked the talk. There's just something cool about people like that. The more I get to know Che, the more I respect him."
The history I know tells me that Castro travelled to Mexico to train guerrillas, aimed to topple Cuba's Batista. While in Mexico ( 8th July, 1955) Fidel Castro was introduced through his brother Raúl Castro to a doctor named Ernesto Guevara de la Serna commonly known as Che Guevara.

Guevara was disillusioned and disgusted by injustices, oppression, and disenfranchisement throughout Latin America. Che, living in Guatemala in 1953, used none other than the structure of Marxist philosophy and social theory to ascend (or rather descend) into the role of a revolutionary. He styled his persona using Josef Stalin as inspiration (btw for those that don't know, Che was known to sign his name as "Stalin II" ).

In 1956 Castro, Guevara, and some eighty guerillas set off to Cuba on a yacht named “Granma”. The landing was a disaster - only sixteen survived an attack by Cuban armed forces. They then made their way into the Sierra Maestra where they began to recruit followers. The official history of the Cuban Revolution depicts Castro and Guevara as brave and wise heroes although in reality most of the battles were skirmishes, during which both Castro and Guevara had a tendency to disappear when the bullets began flying. The total number of combined deaths (guerillas and Cuban forces) over the 2 year period from these fights was 182.

History also shows us that the two most devastating and successful weapons used by the Dynamic Duo of Castro and Guevara was money (yes, these 2 anti-capitalists used LOTS of money) and propaganda. These two weapons, combined with many Cubans being very pissed at Batista, were the major factors that led to Bastita's fall. The outrageous use of media as sources for propaganda (hello New York Times, WaPo) by both Castro and Guevara sealed their ultimate victory. Hell, Castro and Guevara can be attributed to being the first media-whore politicians post WW2.
In August of 1960, a year and a half after Che Guevara entered Havana ahead of his "column" of "guerrillas," Time magazine featured the revolutionary comandante on its cover and crowned him the "Brains of the Cuban Revolution." (Fidel Castro was "the heart" and Raul Castro "the fist.")

"Wearing a smile of melancholy sweetness that many women find devastating," read the Time article, "Che guides Cuba with icy calculation, vast competence, high intelligence and a perceptive sense of humor."

"This is not a Communist Revolution in any sense of the term," The New York Times had declared a year earlier. "Fidel Castro is not only not a Communist, he is decidedly anti-Communist."

"It would be a great mistake," Walter Lippmann wrote in the Washington Post that same month, "even to intimate that Castro's Cuba has any real prospect of becoming a Soviet satellite."

A few months earlier the London Observer had observed: "Mr. Castro's bearded youthful figure has become a symbol of Latin America's rejection of brutality and lying. Every sign is that he will reject personal rule and violence."
Batista, like all de facto military leaders who take power by staging a coup, was corrupt, tainted, etc. and violently suppressed attempts to defeat him, many people suffering in the outcome. However, the society that was created by Castro and Guevara was/is also a far cry from paradise.

Those who worship Guevara as a revolutionary cannot deny that during the early formation of the current Cuban set-up Che greatly influenced the base, to put it mildly. Che was Castro's state executioner.
Time magazine was in perfect sync with her major-media peers -- utterly wrong. Guevara was no more the brains of the Cuban Revolution than Cheka-head Felix Drezhinsky had been the brains of the Bolshevik Revolution, or Gestapo chief Himmler the brains of the National Socialist Revolution, or KGB head Beria the brains behind Stalinism. In fact Che performed the same role for Fidel Castro as Drezhinsky performed for Lenin, Himmler for Hitler and Beria for Stalin. Che Guevara was the Castro regime’s chief executioner.
He ordered the immediate executions of thousands of government officials and Batista-friendly businessmen, and it was Che who encouraged Castro to move towards the Soviets; although many of the early leaders of the Cuban Revolution favored a democratic or democratic-socialist direction for the new Cuba. Che was the mainstay of the hardline pro-Soviet faction, and his faction won. He was a strict moralist who had slackers sent to work camps to cut cane. Che was a hardcore party man, and he tolerated no dissent, and no claim to individual rights over the state’s needs. Che presided over the Cuban Revolution’s first firing squads. He founded Cuba’s “labor camp” system—the system that was eventually employed to incarcerate gays, dissidents, and AIDS victims. He achieved nothing but disaster, and when exposed to the light of truth, he was nothing but a pussy.
More than his cruelty, megalomania or even his epic stupidity, what most distinguished Ernesto "Che" Guevara from his peers was his sniveling cowardice. His groupies can run off in a huff, slam their bedroom door, and dive headfirst into their beds sobbing and kicking and punching the pillows all they want-- but Che surrendered to the Bolivan Rangers voluntarily, from a safe distance, and was captured physically sound and with a fully loaded pistol.
The cosy love nest arrangement between Castro and Guevara didn't last long, and, knowing firsthand how inept and what a loose cannon (read: potential liability) Che' was, Castro threw his backside to Africa to go play Commandante with the cannibals in the Congo.

Yet after all of this, the raving moonbat, radical lefties, along with the uninformed still portray Che Guevara as an idealized revolutionary spirit. Fact is, he was just another Stalin wannabe, a self-inflated egotist...and a pussy.

This is a very good timeline of Che's rise and fall.

RELIGION OF PISS NEWS

Apparently the tolerant and all-loving practitioners of the religion of piss think there is nothing wrong with beating your women.
=================

A fatwa on marrying outside your faith. Check out the answer this guy got when he questioned his cousin’s daughter marrying a non-muslim.
=================

If you are a muslim girl who gets raped and in self defense kills the guy who rapes you, chances are you will be found guilty of “enticing” the man and be sentenced to death. If you are lucky to have the death sentence overturned on appeal, expect to have to pay “blood money” to the family of the asswipe who raped you.
=================

Islamo-fascists terrorists are nothing but a bunch of pansy-assed pussies who can’t fight another man, one on one. When threatened, they hide behind children to make their getaway.
=================

More examples of chicken-shit behavior by the scumbags who love to yell “Aloha Snackbar” and believe “Mo’ Ham, Ed!” is his buttboy.
=================

If you’ve not seen them yet, check out the British series that has muslims in England all manner of pissed off. Guess they don’t like the fact they’ve been exposed for being hate-mongering terrorists.

If you’ve not gotten the scoop on the ankle-grabbing done by Northwest Airlines, check it out here.

Amazing. The bitch shows up 20 minutes prior to the flight, misses it because SHE WAS LATE and what happens? She sues because she’s muslim.

Go ahead. Try doing that yourself. Arrive late to check in and see how sympathetic the airlines would be to you. Hell, book a flight with NWA and see if you are so lucky.

Did you know Barack Obama’s father was muslim? That his mother is an atheist? That his step father is a muslim? That he went to a madrassa? That he converted (according to him) to Christianity?

So if you were a reporter, what sort of questions would you ask Barack “HUSSEIN” Obama?

More muslim Bullshit: Chipping Away At The Stone

I and countless others write about the militant nature of islam and its creeping, incremental erosion of Western culture. Only liberals and complete morons (is there a difference?) cannot or, more accurately, will not recognize that tolerance run amok will destroy our societies over time because that would mean they would have to admit that their liberal beliefs are seriously flawed and abandon them. For a group of people who espouse "change" and "progress" and prides itself on "pragmatism over dogma," liberals are quite resistant to re-examining their own beliefs and policies - on the contrary, they cling to them that much tighter - even when overwhelming evidence indicates that continuing the same behavior will ultimately lead to their own demise. For liberals, their egos must be more important than their very survival, which by default means they are suicidal and obviously either in denial or incognizant of their own dimentia - further proof that liberalsim is a mental disorder.

Here are just two in a growing list of examples of how, little by little, liberal/PC kow-towing to the militant muslims who make the most noise, and tolerance-turned-accomodation-turned- acceptance/validation of muslim culture could, if left unchecked, turn Western culture backward by providing tax payer funded "separate but equal" facilities and services specifically for muslims.

First, in Christchurch, New Zealand muslim women want their own tax-payer funded swimming pool.
There are calls for special pool facilities to be set up for Muslim women so they can swim without compromising their religious beliefs.

Naaz Shah of Christchurch said many Muslim women had no opportunities to exercise and were putting on weight as a result, the Press newspaper reported today.

"They become medically unfit. Their health is affected and they're quite depressed," she said.
We know the importance of swimming in muslim culture. Remember that gold medalist swimmer from Crapistanabia in the Olympics?....(chirp...chirp...chirp...chirp)....yeah, neither could I.

A good op-ed puts this in perspective and begs one to read between the lines of what the real agenda is.

Second, in England, Muslims want their own culturally sensitive medical care, again, at the expense of the tax payer.
MUSLIMS should get special treatment within the NHS, a top medic claimed last night.

Prof Aziz Sheikh called for “faith-based health services”. He wants same-sex doctors, information to ensure treatments do not contain alcohol or pork, extra prayer rooms and circumcision for baby boys on the NHS.

The professor, from Edinburgh University, said in the British Medical Journal: “Muslims have the poorest overall health profile but there are few faith-centred initiatives aiming to improve health outcomes for our largest minority faith community.

“Many Muslims, to maintain modesty, prefer to see a same-sex clinician but such choice is typically unavailable. Male infant circumcision should be available throughout the NHS and more access is needed to prayer facilities.”

But Prof Aneez Esmail, of Manchester University, said: “It’s not practical. Members of the same religion are not all the same and their needs may be different. Going down this path risks stereotyping.”
Ummmm..."going down this path risks" more than stereotyping. It risks collapse of a society, not only socially and culturally, but economically as well. Funny how it seems we have come full circle: "Separate but equal" now translates into "cultural sensitivity" and "tolerance." I remember when "separate but equal" was called "segregation."

In Case You Didn't Already Know...

Arab muslims were either complicit in or directly involved with the "Final Solution."
...it is worth noting that Muslims were not as blameless in the genocide of the Jews as Ahmadinejad and his ilk would have it. Arabs were, on a small scale, cheerleaders and enablers of the Final Solution. The most famous example was Haj Amin Husseini, the grand mufti of Jerusalem (and uncle of Yasser Arafat), who took refuge in Berlin in World War II. A rabid Nazi, he personally lobbied Hitler to kill as many Jews as possible and even helped out by recruiting Bosnian Muslims to serve in the Waffen SS.
(snip)
"Arabs played a role at every level," Satloff wrote. "Some went door to door with the Germans, pointing out Jews for arrest. Others led Jewish workers on forced marches or served as overseers at labor camps."
(snip)
Even worse, while Europe has disowned its terrible history, the Nazis continue to be glorified in the Middle East. ("Mein Kampf" is a perennial bestseller in the region.) Nowhere else in the world is Holocaust denial so prevalent. Ahmadinejad deserves thanks for calling the world's attention to this pervasive sickness."
Read the rest. I'm not going anywhere with this; just a little FYI.

Album Of The Week And Cool Music Vids

A hat-tip goes out to Vilmar who sent me the link to a cool site. You could lose yourself for hours in this place. There are A LOT of music videos (including garage band "covers"); and not just the new flash and trash, but older - I mean older, older - stuff, too. Like The Animals, The Byrds - that old. And I highly recommend Steely Dan's "Reeling in the Years" with pretty close to the original studio line-up, featuring the great guitar work of Denny Dias (the dark haired, bearded, heavy-set bloke) and Jeff "Skunk" Baxter (the blonde one with the glasses).

I mention some bits about the Steely Dan video because their debut album from 1972, Can't Buy a Thrill, is the featured Album of the Week on the right sidebar. "Reeling in the Years" and "Do It Again" were the two big hits from that album and instantly put Steely Dan in a class by themselves with their own unique, top-shelf mix of blues, jazz, rock, and pop. Donald Fagen and Walter Becker form the nucleus of a band whose supporting members historically change nearly from album to album. With Fagen playing keyboards (mostly piano) and singing (with very few exceptions) most of the lead vocals, and Becker on (some lead but mostly back-up) guitar and back-up vocals, they have collaborated to write dozens and dozens of timeless songs with often complex chord changes complementing and supplementing intricate, unconventional melodies and harmonies; odd time signatures and irregular syncopation; and deep, sometimes unfathomable lyrics. Like Frank Zappa or Miles Davis, Becker and Fagen often rotate and shuffle some of the best available studio musicians as they see fit, in order to get a particular sound they are looking for on a given song. Ironically, though, Steely Dan is about the music, not the musicians. And there would be no Steely Dan without Becker and Fagen.

Throughout all Steely Dan's albums, consistently high quality musicianship is demonstrated, no doubt with an emphasis on lots of great guitar work from players like Baxter and Dias in the early days, to Larry Carlton who can be heard on later albums like The Royal Scam and Aja. That is not to say that the music is great soley because of great musicians involved; the probability of that outcome eventuating is higher, all other variables being equal (which occurs almost never), but it's no guarantee. There are numerous bands and "supergroups" comprised of great musicians in their own right who just couldn't "gel" together, resulting in technically superior but spiritually lifeless music: The music becomes a vehicle for the musicians' demonstration of skills. Steely Dan, however, is all about the music: The musicians are the vehicle for the music. As did other composer/conductor/musicians from Frank Zappa to Miles Davis or Duke Ellington, Becker and Fagen have the ability to pick the right people and get the best out of them in order to create music that is, as a whole, greater than the sum of its parts. And that is what makes for great music.

I'm Back

Those were photos taken of and around Lake Tarawera, just south-east of Rotorua shown on the map (the lake is actually obscured by the first "R" in Rotorua). We lived nealy a year in Rotorua when I first came to New Zealand, and I really enjoyed the quiet, laid-back life there. Unfortunately, my work took me to Auckland, and now we live near Orewa, shown just north of Auckland on the map. I use the word "unfortunately" in the sense that, while I don't mind living where we are now, I would still prefer to live in the Tauranga-Rotorua-Whakatane area known as the Bay of Plenty.
************************************************************************************

Sorry for my delayed absence, but Mae and I enjoyed our time together over the last few days. Now I'm fully refreshed, ready to tackle islamofacists, leftists, and any other moonbats, morons, and idiotarians I find out there who need a good, swift kick in the nuts (or "daddy sacks"as my Aussie mates would say).

But first I need a good night's sleep. LOL!

Taking A Time Out

Sometimes all the insanity in the world just gets to me, and I need to take a break. I think I'll listen to some music to clear my head. Here's some lyrics to consider. Based on how you interpret them, the words have equal meaning for all political persuasions. I'll be back later today or tomorrow.

The Kinks - Living on a Thin Line

(lyrics by Ray Davies)

All the stories have been told
Of kings and days of old,
But there's no England now.
All the wars that were won and lost
Somehow don't seem to matter very much anymore.
All the lies we were told,
All the lies of the people running round,
They're castles have burned.
Now I see change,
But inside we're the same as we ever were.

Living on a thin line,
Tell me now, what are we supposed to do?
Living on a thin line,
Tell me now, what are we supposed to do?
Living on a thin line,
Living this way, each day is a dream.
What am I, what are we supposed to do?
Living on a thin line,
Tell me now, what are we supposed to do?

Now another century nearly gone,
What are we gonna leave for the young?
What we couldn't do, what we wouldn't do,
It's a crime, but does it matter?
Does it matter much, does it matter much to you?
Does it ever really matter?
Yes, it really, really matters.

Living on a thin line,
Tell me now, what are we supposed to do?
Living on a thin line,
Tell me now, what are we supposed to do?

Now another leader says
Break their hearts and break some heads.
Is there nothing we can say or do?
Blame the future on the past,
Always lost in blood and guts.
And when they're gone, it's me and you.

Living on a thin line,
Tell me now, what are we supposed to do?
Living on a thin line,
Tell me now, what are we supposed to do?
Living on a thin line.

Minutia And Quick Bytes

Have you heard of the movie "Snakes on a Plane?"
A masterful effort at making the cinematic equlivant to a fart lighting contest. Inherently juvenile with some brief moments of flash, but in the end, the thing simply stinks.
Well, here's "Scorpions on a Plane."

Prince William is upset at the paparazzi for harassing his girlfriend. There's all this talk of taking them to court for violation of right to privacy. Sorry, but this just comes with the territory of being famous.

I hate these paprazzi types, but if people find this type of thing offensive, stop buying the magazines that publish the photos. Don't feed the monster. Let the market decide, not the courts.

I'm Speechless (almost)

CAUTION: THIS IS A CATHARTIC RANT FULL OF FOUL LANGUAGE, HATE, INVECTIVE, AND VISCERAL VILIFICATION. IF YOU DISAGREE, SAVE YOUR COMMENTS FOR SOMEBODY WHO GIVES A SHIT FOR YOU WILL GET THIS ANSWER: GO FUCK YOURSELF. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!

What the fuck is going on? Are there no people of authority in France with any balls? Are you all pussies? I feel sorry for the apparently very, very, few people in France who have any sense of national pride, who are taking non-violent, non-militant measures to stem the tide of the muslim scourge that is sweeping through Europe.

Remember the story of the charity soup kitchen that the Paris cops tried to have shut down for offering with intent to discriminate? The court upheld the SdF appeal and allowed them to continue serving pork soup, but they have now changed their minds:
PARIS — A top French judge ruled that an extreme-right group cannot serve pork soup to the needy, saying the charitable handouts aim to discriminate against Muslims and Jews who don't eat pork because of their faith.

Judge Christian Vigouroux of the Council of State, the country's highest administrative body, said late Friday that such giveaways by the far-right group Solidarity of the French threaten public order.
Again, why are the SdF "far-right" and now even "extreme right?" Is that a bad thing? (scroll down to the next post for the answer). And what is this shit about "threaten(ing) public order?" Like nightly car fires and riots perpetrated by muslims doesn't? Ahhh, but the law-abiding and non-militant are always an easy target. This judge needs his balls crushed in a vice because he sure as hell has no need for them anymore, if he ever needed them (or had them) to begin with.
His ruling approved a decision by Paris police to refuse permits to the group on the grounds that such handouts could spark angry reactions.
In a rational universe could you ever perceive that "handouts could spark angry reactions?" Does anybody but me see that as the silliest fucking statement?

Message to the French government: You would rather demonize your own kind rather than stand-up to the muslim cancer that is matasticizing throughout Europe? At what point will you take a stand and acknowledge that pacifism does not work with animals who see appeasement as submission? Oh, wait, I forgot that your predecessors planted trees along the Champs-Elysées so the Nazi's could march in the shade. You're pathetic, you chicken-shit, snail-eating, non-bathing mother fuckers. Liberté, Égalité, Fraternité...my ass.

More muslim Bullshit and Media Bias: Part 2

Media bias occurs in many forms, and often these methods are combined, some of it overt and in-your-face; most of it very subtle. Of course, one method would be just outright lying, reporting as being true that which the media outlet or the writer knows to be not true. The Jayson Blair scandal at the New York Times in 2002-03 and "Rathergate"/"Memogate" that occurred during the run-up to the 2004 US pesidential elections exemplify a not-so-subtle technique known as, "I'll lie my ass off; cross my fingers, and hope I don't get caught." Nothing close to subtle there, but plenty of hubris and balls so big they gotta cart 'em around in a wheel barrow, especially when they justify their actions along the theme of, "Well, it would have or should have been true." But it wasn't. Oh, the hubris...Oh the mutant testicles...

In Part 1 we looked at this story on its face, and we found that basically the cops want a charity soup kichen in Paris shut down because the cops feel the group is guilty of offering with intent to discriminate against Jews and muslims by serving a traditional French favorite, pork soup, in a...soup...kitchen... Now, using that same story, let's examine the subtleties of using syntax, semantics, and word association as a form of media bias. In a future post, I'll examine the editorial process as a form of media bias.

The first thing I have a problem with is the wording. In the very first sentence:
A French court ruled Tuesday that an organization with far-right links can continue offering pork soup to the homeless, rejecting police complaints that the food distribution was racist.
The writer has associated "far-right" with "racist" to let us know that it's not just any old charity group; it's those evil right wingers. The media has made that association ad nauseum to such an extent that far too many people associate "right wing" with "nazi" and/or "fascist." (It could be argued that the terms "left wing" and "right wing" have been so mis-used and over-used that most people don't know what either is.) While it may be true that Hitler was to the right of Stalin, that's not saying much. The nazis were the national SOCIALIST party, and the last time I checked, "socialist" and "right wing" were, by definition, diametrically opposed. I read and watch a lot of mainstream media (MSM), and I cannot remember off-hand the last time anything with a negative connotation was associated with the "left wing." Frankly, I cannot remember the last time I heard or read a reference to a "left wing" at all. Surely there are plenty of "far left" individuals and groups that can legitimately wear the tag "racist" - ummm, Adolph, Joseph, Mao, Che, Mad Bob (Mugabe), CAIR, Nation of Islam, Black Panthers, International Socialist Worker, and the Mexican rights groups, MEChA and La Raza (literally "The Race")...step forward - but you won't hear it; and that is by design.

The agenda of the left-wing dominated MSM is to sway public opinion against (demonize) the right wing, and play-down (if not deny) the existence of any left-wing at all. While most "right wingers" wear the moniker proudly, most lefties won't admit what they are, but rather like to portray themselves as "centrist." And one way to do that is to associate all "bad" policies or ideas (whether or not they actually are is irrelevant) with the right wing so that the ideas or policies the left are trying to sell as "good" (whether or not they actually are is also irrelevant) become the norm, or "centrist." Never mention left wing, just the norm, because acknowledgement of "left" and "right" sets-up a dichotomy or binary opposition where there might be grounds for actual debate, and the last thing the left wants is debate. They want conformity to the doctrines of the collective State which upholds all the "good" policies," and therefore, anybody opposed to those policies is easily marginalized or demonized. For more on leftist doctrine, read-up on Hegel and dialectics, Trotsky, and Engels. I guarantee you that many editors and writers in the media have, or at least they were taught by professors who have.
"Faced by this initiative which stinks of xenophobia, I want once again to express city hall's desire to fight all forms of discrimination, racism and anti-Semitism," mayor Bertrand Delanoe said in a statement.

The food handouts are organized by a nationalist group called Solidarity of the French (SDF). It says its "pig soup," which uses pork fat for stock, is country fare much loved by French traditionalists.
So now we've got our "far-right" group, Solidarity of the French, being now referred to as "nationalist" and "traditionalists" and associated with the term "racist." The objective is to convince the public psyche that nationalism and traditionalism are right-wing ideals, and that those ideals are racist. A little inuendo goes a long way.

Universities: Institutes of Lower Learning

When I was in university 20 years ago, we had a lot of goofy courses on offer, and I took a few of them, one in modern (actually post-modern) critical theory. The class was taught by a lesbian feminist and somehow while supposedly learning techniques of criticism and critical theory, we managed to mostly learn about feminism, phallocentrism, Marxism, Freud, and semiotics. I had two professors who were self-proclaimed socialists/communists. It seems not much has changed. In fact, things seem to have gotten worse.

The Young America's Foundation has compiled "The Dirty Dozen: America’s Most Bizarre and Politically Correct College Courses." Here's the top three:
1. Occidental College’s The Phallus covers a broad study on the relation “between the phallus and the penis, the meaning of the phallus, phallologocentrism, the lesbian phallus, the Jewish phallus, the Latino phallus, and the relation of the phallus and fetishism.”

2. Queer Musicology at the University of California-Los Angeles explores how “sexual difference and complex gender identities in music and among musicians have incited productive consternation” during the 1990s. Music under consideration includes works by Schubert and Holly Near, Britten and Cole Porter, and Pussy Tourette.

3. Amherst College in Massachusetts offers Taking Marx Seriously: “Should Marx be given another chance?” Students in this class are asked to question if Marxism still has “credibility,” while also inquiring if societies can gain new insights by “returning to [Marx’s] texts.” Coming to Marx’s rescue, this course also states that Lenin, Stalin, and Pol Pot misapplied the concepts of Marxism.
Says YAF Spokesman, Jason Mattera:
“The Dirty Dozen demonstrates that professors still have an obsession with dividing people on the basis of their skin color, sexuality, and gender. They also can’t seem to shake off a strong admiration for Karl Marx and his murderous ideology—apparently the 100-plus million totalitarian regimes have murdered over the years is not enough?!”
Considering that "The Chronicle of Higher Education reports that 40 percent of college students need remedial work in math and English," one has to question what the hell is going on at our universities. Unless one is going into medicine, engineering, or the hard sciences, I would have to say that a college education is a complete waste of time and money.

Why Public Schools Suck

Miss Johnson said, a little red in the face, “Mr. Hanlan, I asked you to come here to talk about Mary's letter and her behavior. The letter she wrote me was absolutely incredible. I have been teaching for 15 years now, and I have never gotten such an insulting letter from one of my students. Most of my students enjoy my classes, so I was shocked at your daughter's letter. Not only that she wrote the letter, but that she said such insulting things to me. I have talked to the principal and he has agreed with me that Mary must write an official apology letter before we can allow her back into my class. We cannot allow our students to insult teachers in this manner. And if Mary is not allowed back in class, she will fail this class and be left back."

Josh Hanlan listened quietly to Miss Johnson. By the time she finished, his eyes had become a little colder and he felt anger rising in him.

He said, "Ms. Johnson, my daughter is very bright. She loves science. She told me about the silly science projects you do in class, and about how you make the children sit in a circle and talk about their feelings. She's also told me that your public school does not have advanced classes for faster-learning students anymore, that you frown on such classes because they might upset the feelings of the other children. She also showed me the textbook you use in your class, which looks like a baby book suitable for a six-year-old, not for bright ten-year old girls."

"I have to say that I agree with my daughter completely. You are wasting her time, and the time of all your other students. Mary only wrote you that letter because she loves science so much and she wants to learn so much, and she doesn't want to waste her time. She didn't mean to insult you, but was asking for your help. She was just telling you the truth as she saw it. Are you or your principal so frightened of criticism that you want to expel my daughter for telling you how she feels about your class?"

"I'd also like to ask you why your textbooks and teaching methods seem so simple-minded? Why is the textbook so dumbed-down? These childrens' time is as valuable as yours. These are their precious years in which they learn the basics of science and reading for their future life. If you don't expect much from them, you are hurting them. If you teach them that learning is boring and something they have to endure, that attitude will affect them their whole lives. You are supposed to be challenging their minds, not teaching them meaningless drivel so their feelings don't get hurt."
Well the teacher didn't like that too much:
"Well," she exploded, "I see where Mary gets her attitude from. Mr. Hanlan, I have been teaching for fifteen years. I went to teacher's college. I have had the best teachers-ed training available. Whatever projects I give in class are for a good reason, based on the best-known educational theories. We don't just teach dry facts or boring basics anymore, Mr. Hanlan. That went out thirty years ago. We now concentrate on our student's feelings and their self-esteem. That's why we have simple, fun projects. It's why we sit around in circles telling each other about our feelings. We can't make the textbook too difficult because the slowest children in the class would be upset that they couldn't keep up with the rest of the class. It's far more important that we protect the feelings of our slowest-learning children than give advanced classes to our faster students."

"Why should children who are lucky enough to be born fast learners take advantage of the slower students? Why should we give them special privileges like putting them in advanced classes? Such uncaring ideas have been discarded by our public-school experts long ago. In fact, we now require our faster-learning students to tutor the slower students, so they learn to share their skills. The feelings of all our kids are much more important than the fact that Mary is bored in class because she is a fast learner. Our kids’ feelings are far more important than Mary thinking she is wasting her time. That's also why no student ever fails in our school. We automatically advance them to the next grade, no matter how well they know the material from the previous grade. This makes all our kids happy."

"And who does Mary or you think you are, criticizing our teaching methods? These methods have been approved by the best educational experts in the field, experts who devote their whole lives to finding the best ways to teach children. We will not have our teaching methods insulted and criticized by a mere girl like Mary or by any parent. We know what is best for your child, Mr. Hanlan, and the faster parents like you realize this, the better off you’ll be."

"Now as I said in my letter, the principal has agreed with me that Mary has to submit a formal apology letter before we will let her back in class. Will you make Mary write that apology?"

(italics mine)
The father told the teacher that he would write the letter, not to the teacher, but rather to his daughter for not being more aware of the nonsense that the school has subjected her to in the name of "education." Read the rest.

Truer words were never written, and that is exactly the mantra-agenda at our 13 yr. old's school here in NZ...and at the schools of family and mates' children in Aussie and the States; and elsewhere, I'm sure. I went round and round with Reggie's teacher about all this just like that father did, and while Reggie's teacher wasn't nearly as insolent as that bitch in the story, the tone of what she said was exactly the same. Needless to say, they don't like me much...like I give a shit.

It was stunning how much that story paralleled my own experience with the public school my kid attends:

No books - those are used only in the classroom, and it's incumbant on the parents to make sure their children read.

And there's no homework - but there is "home learning" which is a weekly project assigned by his teacher, the subjects ranging from "identifying and describing native New Zealand trees" to "the effects of petroleum and renewable energy resources" - two that Mae and I distinctly remember. Subjects aren't differentiated like they were when I was in school; it's now a "holistic" approach.

And the kids aren't students - they're "learners," and the teachers are "tutors."

It seems the "learners" just have to just feel their way through math and science, because most of early math is rote learning, and that has been disallowed as it is considered by the educrats as a form of brainwashing - as if inculcating children in the Green agenda isn't?

And no "A," "B," "C," grading system; it's descriptive now - "acheived," "achieved with merit"...WTF does that mean? Call me old fashioned, but if the kid takes a test with 25 questions on it, I want to know how many he got right/wrong, and a numerical percentage-based grade assigned. But wait...they have to take tests before they can receive a grade.

As a result of all this moonbat nonsense that passes for public education, Mae and I have devised our own home schooling curriculum for Reggie - we just can't afford to send him to private school right now. He's a smart kid, but if we left his education solely in the hands of the schools, he'd emerge after 12 years knowing not much more than how he feeeels about things.

Indeed, the education system is quite different today. When I was in high school and later in university, the idea behind education was, obviously, to educate, but it was a broad-based, classical education that provided a foundation for future learning of specific subjects in greater detail. It gave me the tools to continue learning. But education was also a mark of achievement, or overcoming "obstacles" that most - not everybody - would overcome. There were standards; a bar was set. Not any more; having kids work to meet a standard beyond how they feeeel about things is seen as damaging to their self-esteem.

A university degree was seen as less of a vocational education - regardless of how much schooling one has, a person is basically worthless to an employer until they have some time on the job - and more of an indicator of perseverance, showing prospective employers that a person who has survived the education system will be more productive than one who hasn't:
Most employers accept that a graduate will be almost totally useless to them until the job itself has taught him what he needs to know. Why then do they pay more for useless qualifications? The honest answer of course is that they are buying what they see as prestige. The reason that they generally gave to Professor Berg, however, seems to have been that they regarded the education system as something of an obstacle course and the man who had survived it had shown that he had "stick-to-it-iveness" and this was the quality really sought in a good employee.
If you have children in public schools in the UK, the US, Australia, New Zealand...please take this as a wake-up call if you haven't already. Put them in private school if you can afford it, or take a more active interest in their education. Do not trust the public school system.

For greatest efficiency, lowest cost and maximum choice, ALL schools should be privately owned and run -- with government-paid vouchers for the poor and minimal regulation.

The NEA and similar unions worldwide believe that children should be thoroughly indoctrinated with Green/Left, feminist/homosexual ideology but the "3 R's" are something that kids should just be allowed to "discover."

Mexican Gunmen Involved in Arizona Border Incident Actually Uniformed Mexican Force

By Heidi at Euphoric Reality

The excursion into U.S. territory last week by "Mexican gunmen" was not a chance confrontation between the Arizona National Guard and untrained illegal immigrants, but a deliberate "perimeter probe" by an infantry-trained, uniformed Mexican force, officials say.

Euphoric Reality has learned in exclusive interviews with high-ranking sources within both the Arizona National Guard and the U.S. Border Patrol that the incident the mainstream media calls a "standoff" was in reality a military-style operation, carried out by a unit of Mexican troops dressed in military uniforms, flak jackets, and armed with AK-47s in an apparent operation to probe the border defenses and test the limits of the National Guard troops. Using easily recognizable infantry movement tactics (such as arm and hand signals and flanking maneuvers), the Mexican unit deliberately moved in a military formation across the border from Mexico , where they were picked up by National Guard surveillance.

As the hostile force moved north over the next three hours, deeper into Arizona, National Guardsmen wearing night vision goggles were able to ascertain that the approaching gunmen were indeed uniformed (including PAGST helmets) and heavily armed. When the Mexican unit came within approximately 100 yards of the EIT site, the Guardsmen repositioned themselves in order to maintain surveillance and tactical advantage. They observed the Mexican unit sweep through the EIT site, and then rapidly withdrew back into Mexico . No shots were fired by either the Mexican gunmen or the Guardsmen. Border Patrol was on the scene within minutes of the Mexican unit's withdrawal.

The Guardsmen, through an Arizona Border Patrol official, confirmed that the incident appeared to be an intelligence-gathering exercise designed to ascertain what the National Guard's response would be to certain tactics. It is not an isolated incident, and many such probes have been reported by the Guardsmen assigned to the area. Though no shots were fired during this particular incident, shots have been fired near and in the vicinity of the soldiers at the EIT site in other situations, though not at the soldiers themselves. It is not clear from the uniforms if the Mexican soldiers were official Mexican federales or mercenaries hired by the drug cartels.

Since then, follow-on news reports have included statements from the Border Patrol that no shots were fired. This was confirmed today by Major Paul Aguirre, a Public Affairs Officer (PAO) for the Arizona National Guard. Rumors have circulated that the Guardsmen were not armed, and thus unable to defend themselves - and that is not the case. Both Major Aguirre and Rob Daniels, a Public Information Officer (PIO) for the Arizona Border Patrol, state that all Guardsmen assigned to EITs are armed, specifically with M16s and sometimes a sidearm. As well, there have been some contradictory news reports that stated the gunmen came "within yards" of the Guardsmen, while other reports state that the gunmen were approximately 100 yards away. Mr. Daniels clarified that the gunmen came as close as 100 yards to the Guardsmen. He also stated that the Guardsmen did not "retreat" but tactically repositioned themselves to maintain surveillance of the group of armed men while simultaneously radioing for Border Patrol agents. He asserted that the Guardsmen had followed their protocols perfectly, and that their services were invaluable to the Border Patrol agents.

The Myth of Troops Bringing Law Enforcement to the Border

National Guard soldiers on the border are volunteers deployed by the federal government for Operation Jump Start. They are not mandated to perform law enforcement activities and, in fact, are prohibited from doing so under the Posse Comitatus Act while federally deployed. They are assigned to the border mission for the sole purpose of supporting the Border Patrol - mostly performing administrative, engineering, and maintenance duties that free up Border Patrol agents for border enforcement.

The ramifications of this incident hitting the public awareness are significant. There are incidents on the record of specially-trained military commandos attacking Border Patrol agents, and videos in existence of uniformed Mexicans, deep in American territory, claiming to be reporters when confronted by Arizona Minutemen. Hundreds of armed incursions have been documented by the Border Patrol. In one year, June 2005 until June 2006, over 250 armed assaults have been reported by Border Patrol agents, and several agents have been killed.

Michael Chertoff, head of Homeland Security, has gone on the record to dismiss reports of armed incursions by a uniformed military force as "navigational mistakes", claiming that the Mexican soldiers were "lost." However, Chertoff offered no explanation as to why these "lost troops" fired on American agents. The Mexican government claims that uniformed military soldiers coming from Mexico are actually American soldiers disguised as Mexican soldiers. Furthermore, when confronted with the possibility that Mexican commandos called Los Zetas, trained by U.S. Special Forces at Fort Bragg to support the Drug War, have defected from the military and now work as mercenaries for the drug cartels, Mexican officials have worked very hard to debunk such evidence. In an official report presented to the U.S. on behalf of the Mexican Office of Inter-Intelligence Affairs, Mexico claimed that "the Zeta army, or syndicate, is no more real than the crying lady of Puebla ."

Yet, contrary to Mexican denials, Los Zetas do exist, and the U.S. Border Patrol is very familiar with them. In a June 2006 investigative news piece by News Channel 5 in Texas, Zetas discussed their training and murderous missions. They also issued a warning:

"These two members of the Zeta army also have a warning for American law enforcement: They are here, with cells operating in Roma, Rio Grande City and Mission - and more are coming.

'It is not a lie,' Zeta-2 said. 'They need to check good, because it is true.'"

Los Zetas: Guns Gone Bad

During the 1990s, U.S. Army Special Forces trained a number of Mexican federal agents and army units in special warfare tactics as part of an effort to aid the struggling Mexican government in the Drug War involving the violent drug cartels of northern Mexico . It's been said that "the training was remedial in nature, and did not exceed international peace time law of NATO forces training foreign combat forces in tactical warfare." Lest we worry about the operational proficiency of such mercenaries, Wikipedia has this unattributed entry:

"The training lasted a mere three months in the sweltering North Carolina heat. In total, 300 Mexican agents and army officers participated in the summer long exercise. Years later, unsealed documents revealed that the training proved to be no more than an extended boot camp. "It was more a media and propaganda effort then it was for actual tactical training that could be used in combat," one of the US Special Forces Officers that participated in the effort stated. "They brought them [sic] boys here, and most of them could fire a gun already, so we just showed them a lot of video of Special Forces training from the early 70's. We were not about to teach or display tactics that make Special Forces what they are. That's why when I read that these boys that are 'Zetas' were Special Forces trained, I almost wet myself with laughter.'"

What the Zetas may lack in professional specialized training, they make up for in ruthless and savage violence. Last year, Times Magazine exposed much of the brutality in an article called Brutal New Drug Gangs Are Terrorizing The U.S.-Mexico Border, and added further information about the identity of Los Zetas.

"According to Mexican officials, Lazcano was a clean-cut Mexican army recruit from the Gulf Coast state of Veracruz when he was picked a decade ago to be part of the highly trained Airborne Special Forces Group. The unit was sent to the eastern border to battle drug trafficking. But in the late 1990s, Lazcano and more than 30 other members of the special forces began working for drug lord Osiel Cardenas, head of the Matamoros-based Gulf cartel, which at the time controlled almost one-third of the Mexican drug trade. "

Official Mexican propaganda notwithstanding, it can be safely assumed that the Zetas are a paramilitary force that has made regular incursions over our border in sometimes heavily-armed assaults. Whether they are actual Mexican federales or uniformed mercenaries in the employ of the drug cartels remains to be seen. Perhaps a small clue to the uniforms is found in the News Channel Five investigative report:

"'The municipal police, the state police, the ministerial police, the police of the state,' Zeta-1 said. 'The soldiers and the federal preventive police. The military on the border. They are bought by the Zetas.' The Zeta's tools even include uniforms given by the police themselves."

Regardless of who the uniformed soldiers are, or who commands them, what is paramount is that our southern border security is breached by foreign troops on an increasingly aggressive basis. While our National Guard troops are effectively hamstrung by political restrictions, foreign military soldiers press the advantage. Border Patrol agents have already given their lives in a heroic effort to guard our border, and it is only a matter of time before we lose American soldiers. Is that what it will take for our government to finally take the matter of border security seriously? This is no longer a matter of local civilian law enforcement; it is a matter of national security. For politicians, no matter their affiliation, to play partisan games with our national safety and security is a betrayal of their constituents' trust, and the constitutional duties of their office.
